Planting & Care for Amsonia
Preparation
- Amsonia is a fool-proof plant that will grow in almost any garden due to its low-maintenance, easy to grow and trouble-free nature.
- A great landscape plant for the perennial border. Great plant used in mass and as edging.
- Mature growth is around 12-15" tall and 18-24" across when mature.
- Flowers May-June.
- Well-drained soil in full sun to part shade (afternoon shade preferred).
- Prefers moist, loamy soils.
- Cut the stems back within 6-8" of the ground after flowering.

For example, small fruits are only shipped in spring, but majority of our perennials are shipped from spring until fall. Keep in mind the dates below act as a general guide. Due to unpredictable weather, staffing, inventory and industry demands these timelines can change. Therefore, we cannot guarantee any of these times.
