Dogwood

Cornus Dogwood plants are popular shrubs among gardeners. They are grown in average, well-drained soils in full sun but tolerate part shade. It is native from Maine to southern Ontario to Illinois to Kansas, south to Florida, Texas, and Mexico. It blooms in early spring, around April. It's a popular specimen plant in small groupings around your home, near patios or lawns. Dogwood trees and shrubs are also effective in woodland, bird, or native plant gardens.
